Welcome to the portfolio of FishLasers, a.k.a. Alva C. J. Orr.

I am a sound designer, lighting designer and creative A/V technician born in London and based in Oxford, and am currently writing up my PhD thesis on Liquid Crystal devices. My work is multi-disciplinary at heart, bringing together my scientific knowledge with my love for art and theatre in all its forms.

I am available for freelance and consultancy work including theatrical design, art gallery installations, operating shows and equipment repair.

I also stock a range of lighting, audio and visual equipment for hire, with special pricing available for student-led and charitable productions.
